CAC video gives 'straight talk' on VR processes
Ohio jobseekers with disabilities will find a 20-minute orientation video, entitled "Straight Talk: Ohio Vocational Rehabilitation Process," describing the vocational rehabilitation (VR) process via the online network YouTube. Volunteers on the state agency's Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC), all former RSC consumers, serve as narrators and advisors. By explaining the VR program from a consumer's perspective, they reduce the apprehensions applicants may have about VR and their job search. Volunteers go through the eligibility requirements, application process and individualized employment plan that lead to employment.
